The Colorful Hat Kicks Off Mardi Gras Festivities in Dothan, Alabama!

The Colorful Hat Circus & Variety helped kick off the Mardi Gras celebration in Dothan, Alabama, on February 18, 2023, bringing high-energy entertainment to the heart of downtown.

As crowds gathered before the parade, guests were treated to a lively mix of circus and variety performances that set the festive tone for the day.

Audiences enjoyed plate spinning, magic, juggling, rolla bolla balancing, and hooping acrobatics — with the excitement reaching new heights during the extreme BMX bike acrobatics of former Cirque du Soleil performer Marcos Paulo DeJesus, whose daring stunts had the crowd cheering.

After the performances, The Colorful Hat joined the procession, marching with the parade as it made its way through downtown Dothan. It was a joy to celebrate Mardi Gras with such an enthusiastic community, and we’re grateful to everyone who came out to enjoy the festivities.
