Colorful Hat Circus & Variety returns to Daikin Festival 2024 in Alabama!

The Colorful Hat Circus & Variety was thrilled to return to the Daikin Festival at Point Mallard Park in Decatur, Alabama, on Friday, May 3rd! We’re so grateful to Daikin America for inviting us back to bring high-energy circus entertainment to this beloved Japanese cultural celebration.

This year’s all-star cast featured - Magic and Circus Arts duo Nathan Kepner and Morgan Tsu-Raun, presenting award-winning magic, juggling, hooping, and rolla bolla balance!

-World-champion juggler Zak McAllister presenting a mix of classic and modern juggling with a variety of props including LED Juggling Clubs. 

- WeFlip Acrobats Ian Henry and Zach Miller who wowed the crowd with spinning Cyr Wheel, Chair Stacking, and High-Flying Teeterboard Acrobatics.

Throughout the festival, strolling performers delighted guests with magic, juggling, plate spinning, jump rope acrobatics, and even jumping stilts, filling the park with fun and excitement for all ages.

Despite the occasional drop of rain (okay… several drops of rain), we managed to get all of our performances in, and the festival fireworks went off as planned. A little rain never keeps us away from the circus!

The Daikin Festival, a longtime North Alabama tradition, features live music, Japanese drumming, delicious food, and family-friendly activities. We were honored to be part of the festivities again, adding a circus twist to one of the Southeast’s largest cultural celebrations!
