Colorful Hat Circus & Variety brings new surprises to Artisphere 2024!

Artisphere 2024 – May 10-12, Greenville, SC
The Colorful Hat Circus & Variety returned to Artisphere for its 10th consecutive year of bringing circus arts to the festival, delighting audiences with high-energy performances and creative surprises!

Festival favorites returned to the streets of Greenville, including award-winning juggler Zak McAllister and WeFlip Acrobat Csaba Szilagyi, performing his signature hand-balancing act, “At Your Service,” which continues to amaze with chairs stacked high above the crowds!

For Artisphere 2024, The Colorful Hat introduced two custom creations: “The Giant Jelly,” a stilt-walking character inspired by a giant jellyfish that floated above festival-goers, and the “Floating Artist,” a floating statue street performer with a custom costume, oversized paintbrush, and art easel, performing fluid, interactive movements. These unique performances elevated stilt walking and living statue street acts to a whole new level, delighting festival-goers of all ages.

Each day of the festival, the Colorful Hat joined the annual Artisphere Parade, marching down Main Street while performing plate spinning, juggling, cube spinning, and stilt walking along the parade route. Joining the parade were magical giant puppets created by Anne Cubberly, adding a spectacular visual element to the procession.
