The Colorful Hat recently brought festive circus and variety entertainment to The Read House in downtown Chattanooga for a Christmas party hosted by Sulzer Pumps.
For the evening, our Colorful Hat strolling circus duo entertained guests throughout the historic hotel with juggling, hooping, and acrobatics, creating moments of surprise and delight for the guests. Performers for the event were Anthony Spatola and Bliss Button Hale, graduates of the Circadium School of Contemporary Circus Arts in Philadelphia. We’re honored to be part of corporate celebrations like this one and to help transform holiday events into immersive experiences filled with movement, creativity, and joy in one of Chattanooga’s most iconic venues.

On Saturday, October 26, The Colorful Hat was excited to return to the Hurricane Marina in Silver Point, Tennessee for their annual Halloween Festival, bringing a full day of circus and variety entertainment for guests of all ages.
Throughout the afternoon, our performers entertained marina guests with strolling and pop-up performances featuring magic, juggling, hooping, plate spinning, acrobatics, and stilt walking. As a grand finale' to the afternoon of family fun, the Colorful Hat presented a pop-up festival performance filled with Magic, Juggling, Hooping, and Acrobatics with special guest acrobats Anthony Spatola and Bliss-Button Hale, proud graduates of the Circadium School of Contemporary Circus Arts in Philadelphia. As night fell, the celebration took on an extra glow with LED juggling props, illuminated hoops, and glowing costumes, adding a visually striking element to the evening festivities and enhancing the festive Halloween atmosphere around the marina. We’re grateful to Hurricane Marina for inviting The Colorful Hat back once again and for continuing a Halloween tradition that brings families together for a day—and night—of festive fun on the water. On Friday, October 25, The Colorful Hat was thrilled to provide live circus and variety entertainment at a community block party hosted by the Staub Team with Keller Williams Realty in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Held at the Red Bud event venue, the celebration welcomed families for an evening of fun, food, and neighborhood connection. The event invited guests to enjoy free food, inflatable bounce houses, live music, and family-friendly entertainment, creating a relaxed and festive atmosphere for all ages. It was a wonderful example of a local business bringing people together and giving back to the community. Throughout the evening, The Colorful Hat strolling circus performers delighted guests with pop-up performances featuring magic, juggling, hooping, and plate spinning. We’re grateful to the Staub Team and Keller Williams Realty for inviting The Colorful Hat to be part of this community-focused celebration, and for creating an event that gave Chattanooga families a chance to gather, connect, and enjoy a memorable night together. On October 24, The Colorful Hat was thrilled to provide live circus and variety entertainment at Broadstreet Global’s third annual flag football tournament, held at Fluor Field in Greenville, South Carolina. The event brought together local businesses, community leaders, and families for a fun-filled day that combined friendly competition with a great cause.
Hosted by Broadstreet Global, the tournament served as a fundraiser benefiting Upstate Warrior Solution, a Greenville-based nonprofit supporting veterans, first responders, and their families. Thanks to the generosity of participants and sponsors, the event raised an impressive $62,540, with more than 300 attendees taking part throughout the day. The atmosphere felt like a high-energy tailgate party, complete with live entertainment, a zipline stretching across the field, and teams from local companies including Contender Development / Blackstream, ScanSource / A3 Communications, and Durham Homes competing on the turf. Throughout the event, The Colorful Hat strolling circus performers engaged guests with pop-up performances featuring stilt walking, plate spinning, hooping, juggling, and magic, creating unexpected moments of wonder around the stadium. A memorable highlight came when boxing legend Larry Holmes stopped to watch some close-up magic — and even joined in by participating in a card trick! We’re grateful to Broadstreet Global for inviting The Colorful Hat to be part of such a meaningful community event, and for using this tournament to support an incredible organization making a real impact. The Colorful Hat Circus & Variety was thrilled to return to Nissan in Canton, Mississippi for the third year in a row, continuing what has become a much-anticipated annual tradition for Nissan employees and their families. Once again, families arrived looking for us, a sure sign that Colorful Hat has become part of the fabric of Nissan Family Day. Throughout the event, our performers provided lively strolling and pop-up entertainment, filling the grounds with moments of surprise, laughter, magic. This year’s performances included magic, juggling, plate spinning, and hooping, with interactive moments that delighted guests of all ages. As the day turned into evening, LED props lit up the space, adding an extra layer of excitement to the celebration. We’re grateful to Nissan for inviting us back year after year and for continuing to include The Colorful Hat as part of this special employee appreciation event. Nissan goes all out to reward their team members and families with a full day of celebration—complete with carnival rides, live music, festival food, and a glorious fireworks finale and we love getting to be one small but joyful part of an experience that brings everyone together through fun, creativity, and shared moments of wonder. On Sunday, October 20, The Colorful Hat was honored to be part of the Carnival at Jefferson Church in Jefferson, Georgia. This free community event is a major celebration each year, featuring food trucks, carnival rides, live music, and activities for the whole family — and we were thrilled to add circus arts to the mix!

Circus acts included plate spinning, juggling, stilt walking, unicycle riding, and extreme rolla bolla balance performed by acrobat Tohm Pace. We’re grateful to Jefferson Church for inviting us to be part of such a joyful, welcoming community celebration, and we loved sharing laughs, amazement, and unforgettable moments with everyone who attended. On Wednesday October 9th, the Colorful Hat Circus & Variety was honored to help celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Redstone Village in Huntsville, Alabama, bringing live circus and variety entertainment to mark this special milestone for the community. Stars of the show included Magic and Circus Arts duo Nathan Kepner and Morgan Tsu-Raun, who brought their award-winning blend of magic, juggling, hooping, stage illusions and comedy that has taken them around the world from the Tonight Show to the Magic Circle Theatre in London! Joining them was WeFlip Acrobat Devin Meek, who wowed the crowd with his championship-winning jump rope skills, extreme balance on the rolla bolla, and his breathtaking chair stacking act — stacking chairs all the way to the ceiling in a show-stopping finale. It was a joy to be part of Redstone Village’s anniversary celebration and to help honor 20 years of community, connection, and shared experiences with a little circus magic. Saturday, October 12, 2024 – Middle Tennessee The Colorful Hat Circus & Variety was excited to be part of the Black Barn Market & Craft Sale, one of Middle Tennessee’s fastest-growing and most beloved community markets. Held at Events at East 96, the Black Barn Market brings together over 100 local vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun in a lively outdoor setting. Throughout the day, the Colorful Hat strolling circus duo brought added flair to the market with roaming and pop-up performances featuring magic, juggling, and plate spinning. Their interactive moments of surprise and wonder delighted guests as they shopped and explored the grounds. The day’s atmosphere was made even more special by live music from 2 Country for Nashville, who not only delivered great country music but also kept the energy high with entertaining commentary between songs. Their presence made the event feel like a live broadcast straight from the Grand Ole Opry, adding to the market’s warm, welcoming, and uniquely Tennessee vibe. We loved being part of such a vibrant event that celebrates local makers, creativity, and community, and we’re grateful to the Black Barn Market team for inviting us to bring a little circus magic to the day. On Monday, October 7, the Colorful Hat Circus & Variety was thrilled to bring a circus and carnival experience to the HomeServe Employee Festival in Chattanooga! Employees and their families enjoyed festival food, carnival games, and a variety of high-energy circus entertainment throughout the day. Strolling performers wowed the crowd with stilt walking, hooping, juggling, magic, and plate spinning, while festival-goers were also treated to pop-up acrobatic performances by Circadium graduates Anthony Spatola and Bliss Button Hale. A fun moment backstage before the performances: Bliss had a butterfly land right on her finger, staying with her for several minutes — she made a new friend! It was a fantastic day filled with fun, laughter, and circus excitement, and we were honored to be part of HomeServe’s employee appreciation event! The evening featured a full stage performance starring Magic and Circus Arts duo Nathan Kepner and Morgan Tsu-Raun, who brought their award-winning blend of magic, juggling, hooping, acrobatic circus arts and theatrical illusion to this elegant community celebration. The high-energy yet sophisticated variety show was a perfect fit for the masquerade-themed event, delighting guests and receiving a standing ovation! We were grateful to be part of this special night in Harriman and to help bring a touch of theatrical magic and circus artistry to one of the city’s signature events. |
